The Intruders were an American soul music vocal group formed in Philadelphia in 1960. They were originally known as The Quintrones and consisted of members Sam "Little Sonny" Brown, Eugene "Bird" Daughtry, Phillip "Phil" Terry, and Robert "Big Sonny" Edwards. The group achieved their greatest success in the 1960s and 1970s with hits such as "Cowboys to Girls," "Together," and "I'll Always Love My Mama."
The Intruders were known for their smooth harmonies and soulful vocals, which helped them establish a loyal fan base in the R&B and soul music community. They were signed to Gamble and Huff's Philadelphia International Records and were one of the pioneering groups in the Philadelphia soul sound. The Intruders' music continues to be celebrated and appreciated by fans of classic soul music.
