The Intruders were an American soul music group formed in Philadelphia in 1960. The original members were Sam "Little Sonny" Brown, Eugene "Bird" Daughtry, Phil Terry, and Robert "Big Sonny" Edwards. The group found success in the 1960s and 1970s, known for their smooth harmonies and romantic ballads.
One of their biggest hits was the song "Cowboys to Girls," which reached number one on the R&B charts and number six on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1968. The Intruders continued to release music throughout the 1970s, with other notable hits including "Together" and "I'll Always Love My Mama." The group's music had a significant influence on the development of soul music and continues to be celebrated by fans of the genre.
