Artist Bio:
The Intruders were an American soul music group formed in Philadelphia in 1960. The original members were Sam "Little Sonny" Brown, Eugene "Bird" Daughtry, Phillip "Phil" Terry, and Robert "Big Sonny" Edwards. They were known for their smooth harmonies and romantic lyrics, and were one of the early groups to popularize the Philly soul sound.


The Intruders scored several hits on the R&B charts in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Cowboys to Girls" and "I'll Always Love My Mama." They were signed to the Gamble and Huff label, Philadelphia International Records, and were influential in the development of the Philly soul genre. The Intruders' music continues to be appreciated by soul music fans and they are considered one of the pioneering groups in the soul music scene.
