Artist Bio:
The Intruders were an American soul music group formed in Philadelphia in 1960. The original members were Sam "Little Sonny" Brown, Eugene "Bird" Daughtry, Phil Terry, and Robert "Big Sonny" Edwards. The group is best known for their hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Cowboys to Girls" and "I'll Always Love My Mama."


The Intruders were pioneers of the Philadelphia soul sound and were signed to Gamble and Huff's Philadelphia International Records. They were known for their smooth harmonies and romantic ballads. The group's music has had a lasting impact on the soul and R&B genres. The Intruders were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004.
