The Isley Brothers are an American musical group that was formed in 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The group was originally composed of three brothers: O'Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley, and Ronald Isley. Over the years, the lineup changed, with younger brothers Ernie and Marvin Isley joining the group, as well as brother-in-law Chris Jasper. The Isley Brothers are known for their diverse musical style, which includes R&B, soul, funk, rock, and even doo-wop.
Throughout their career, The Isley Brothers have released numerous hit songs, including "Shout," "Twist and Shout," "It's Your Thing," and "Between the Sheets." They have also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in recognition of their contributions to the music industry. The group continues to perform and record music, with Ronald Isley being the only original member still active in the group.
