The Isley Brothers are an American musical group that was formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1954. The group originally consisted of brothers O'Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley, and Ronald Isley. Over the years, the lineup changed, with younger brothers Ernie Isley and Marvin Isley joining the group, as well as brother-in-law Chris Jasper.
The Isley Brothers are known for their diverse musical style, which includes elements of R&B, soul, funk, rock, and even doo-wop. They have released numerous hit songs over the years, including "Shout," "Twist and Shout," "It's Your Thing," and "That Lady." The group has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
