The J. Geils Band was an American rock band formed in 1967 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The band's original members included guitarist J. Geils, harmonica player Magic Dick, lead vocalist Peter Wolf, bassist Danny Klein, drummer Stephen Bladd, and keyboardist Seth Justman. They were known for their energetic live performances and a unique blend of rock, blues, and R&B music.
The J. Geils Band achieved commercial success in the 1970s and early 1980s with hits like "Centerfold," "Love Stinks," and "Freeze-Frame." They released eleven studio albums before disbanding in 1985. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. J. Geils passed away in 2017, but the band's music continues to be celebrated and remembered by fans of classic rock.
