Artist Bio:
The J. Geils Band was an American rock band formed in 1967 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The band's original members included J. Geils (guitar), Danny Klein (bass), Richard Salwitz, also known as "Magic Dick" (harmonica), Stephen Jo Bladd (drums), and Peter Wolf (vocals). The band gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s with their high-energy live performances and a mix of rock, blues, and R&B influences.

The J. Geils Band is best known for their hits such as "Centerfold," "Freeze-Frame," and "Love Stinks." They achieved commercial success with their album "Freeze-Frame," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1982. The band disbanded in 1985, with occasional reunion performances in the following decades. J. Geils, the band's namesake, passed away in 2017, but the legacy of The J. Geils Band lives on through their timeless music.
