The J. Geils Band was an American rock band formed in 1968 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The band's original members included guitarist John "J." Geils, vocalist Peter Wolf, harmonica player Magic Dick, bassist Danny Klein, drummer Stephen Bladd, and keyboardist Seth Justman. They were known for their energetic live performances and a mix of rock, blues, and R&B influences.
The J. Geils Band achieved commercial success in the 1970s and early 1980s with hits such as "Centerfold," "Freeze-Frame," and "Love Stinks." They were also highly regarded for their dynamic and high-energy live shows. The band disbanded in 1985, but their music continues to influence rock and roll to this day.
