Artist Bio:
The J. Geils Band was an American rock band formed in 1968 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The band was led by guitarist John "J." Geils and featured vocalist Peter Wolf. The group achieved commercial success in the 1970s and early 1980s with a blues and rock sound that included hits such as "Centerfold," "Freeze-Frame," and "Love Stinks." Their energetic live performances and incorporation of R&B influences into their music helped them stand out in the rock music scene of the time.

The J. Geils Band released several successful albums during their career and built a reputation as a dynamic live act. However, the band experienced internal conflicts and lineup changes over the years. They officially disbanded in 1985, but have reunited for occasional performances since then. The J. Geils Band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
