Geils (guitar), Peter Wolf (vocals), Danny Klein (bass), Magic Dick (harmonica), Stephen Jo Bladd (drums), and Seth Justman (keyboards). The band was known for their energetic live performances and their blend of rock, blues, and R&B influences.

The J. Geils Band achieved commercial success in the 1970s and early 1980s with hits such as "Love Stinks," "Freeze-Frame," and their signature song "Centerfold," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
