Artist Bio:
The J. Geils Band was an American rock band formed in 1967 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The band's original members included guitarist John "J." Geils, vocalist Peter Wolf, harmonica player Richard "Magic Dick" Salwitz, drummer Stephen Bladd, keyboardist Seth Justman, and bassist Danny Klein. The band gained popularity in the 1970s with their energetic live performances and a blend of rock, R&B, and blues influences.

The J. Geils Band achieved commercial success with their albums "Bloodshot" (1973), "Ladies Invited" (1973), and "Nightmares...and Other Tales from the Vinyl Jungle" (1974). However, their breakthrough came with the release of their album "Freeze-Frame" in 1981, which featured their hit single "Centerfold." The song reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, propelling the band to mainstream success. The J. Geils Band disbanded in 1985, but they left a lasting impact on the rock music scene with their high-energy performances and catchy songs.
