The J. Geils Band was an American rock band formed in 1967 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The band's original members were guitarist J. Geils, vocalist Peter Wolf, harmonica player Magic Dick, bassist Danny Klein, keyboardist Seth Justman, and drummer Stephen Bladd. They were known for their energetic live performances and their unique blend of rock, R&B, and blues music.


The J. Geils Band achieved commercial success in the 1970s with hits like "Centerfold" and "Love Stinks." They were also known for their dynamic live shows, which often featured Wolf's charismatic stage presence and Geils' impressive guitar skills. The band disbanded in the mid-1980s, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of classic rock.
