Artist Bio

Artist Bio:
The J. Geils Band was an American rock band formed in 1967 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The band's original members were guitarist John "J." Geils, vocalist Peter Wolf, harmonica player Richard "Magic Dick" Salwitz, drummer Stephen Bladd, keyboardist Seth Justman, and bassist Danny Klein. The band achieved commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s with hits like "Centerfold," "Love Stinks," and "Freeze-Frame."

Known for their energetic live performances and blending rock with R&B influences, The J. Geils Band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. Despite lineup changes over the years, the band maintained a loyal fan base and continued to tour until 2012. Tragically, J. Geils passed away in 2017, but the band's music continues to be celebrated for its high-energy performances and catchy hooks.
