Artist Bio:
The Jive Five is an American doo-wop group that was formed in Brooklyn, New York in the late 1950s. The original members of the group were Eugene Pitt, Jerome Hanna, Richard Harris, Thurmon Bannister, and Norman Johnson. They are best known for their hit song "My True Story," which reached number one on the Billboard R&B chart and number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1961. The Jive Five's music is characterized by their smooth harmonies and soulful vocals, which helped them stand out in the crowded doo-wop scene of the time.

Over the years, The Jive Five continued to perform and record music, although with various lineup changes. Despite not achieving the same level of commercial success as they did in the early 1960s, the group is still celebrated for their contributions to the doo-wop genre. They have been recognized as influential artists who helped shape the sound of doo-wop music during its golden era.
