The Joe Chemay Band was an American rock band formed in the late 1970s by Joe Chemay, a bassist and vocalist. The band released their self-titled album "The Joe Chemay Band" in 1981 on Casablanca Records. The album featured a blend of rock, pop, and country influences, showcasing Chemay's strong vocals and the band's tight musicianship.
The Joe Chemay Band gained some recognition with their single "Love Is Gonna Find You," which received airplay on rock radio stations. Despite their musical talent and potential, the band did not achieve widespread commercial success, and they eventually disbanded. Joe Chemay continued to work as a session musician and backing vocalist for various artists, including Elton John, Peter Cetera, and Kenny Loggins.
