Artist Bio:
The Kingston Trio was an American folk and pop music group formed in 1957 in Palo Alto, California. The original lineup consisted of Bob Shane, Nick Reynolds, and Dave Guard. They are credited with helping to popularize folk music in the late 1950s and early 1960s with their distinctive three-part harmony style.

The Kingston Trio achieved commercial success with hits like "Tom Dooley," "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," and "Greenback Dollar." They won a Grammy Award for Best Ethnic or Traditional Folk Recording in 1959 for their album "The Kingston Trio At Large." The group disbanded in 1967 but reunited several times with different lineups over the years. The Kingston Trio's influence on the folk music genre is still felt today, and they are considered pioneers in bringing folk music to mainstream audiences.
