The group achieved mainstream success with their hit songs such as "Tom Dooley," "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," and "Greenback Dollar."


The Kingston Trio was one of the most popular and influential music acts of the late 1950s and early 1960s, helping to popularize folk music in the United States. They won a Grammy Award for Best Ethnic or Traditional Folk Recording in 1959 for their album "The Kingston Trio At Large." The group continued to perform and record music until the early 2000s, with various lineup changes over the years.
