Their music was characterized by a mix of traditional folk songs, covers of popular songs, and original compositions.


The Kingston Trio is credited with helping to popularize folk music in the United States and influencing the folk revival of the 1960s. They are best known for hits such as "Tom Dooley," "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" and "Scotch and Soda."
