Artist Bio:
The Kinks were an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London, in 1964 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies. The band's original lineup consisted of Ray Davies on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Dave Davies on lead guitar and backing vocals, Pete Quaife on bass guitar, and Mick Avory on drums. The Kinks are considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 1960s, known for their raw, energetic sound and clever, often satirical lyrics.

The band achieved commercial success with hits like "You Really Got Me," "All Day and All of the Night," and "Lola." They were also known for their concept albums, such as "The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society." The Kinks were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and were ranked 65th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time."
