The Kinks are known for their distinctive sound, characterized by Ray Davies' songwriting, which often focused on the everyday life and social issues in British society. Some of their most popular songs include "You Really Got Me," "All Day and All of the Night," and "Lola."
The Kinks were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and are regarded as pioneers of the hard rock and punk rock movements.
