Artist Bio:
The Kinks were an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London, in 1964. The band consisted of brothers Ray and Dave Davies, along with Mick Avory and Pete Quaife. They were part of the British Invasion of the US in the 1960s, achieving widespread success with hits such as "You Really Got Me," "All Day and All of the Night," and "Lola."

The Kinks were known for their distinctive sound, characterized by Ray Davies' songwriting skills, Dave Davies' aggressive guitar style, and their rebellious attitude towards the music industry. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and are considered one of the most influential bands of the 1960s. Despite internal tensions and lineup changes, The Kinks continued to produce music until their official disbandment in 1996.
