Artist Bio:
The Kinks were an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London, in 1964. The band consisted of brothers Ray and Dave Davies, along with Mick Avory and Pete Quaife. The Kinks are considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 1960s and are known for their distinctive sound, characterized by Ray Davies' witty and satirical songwriting, as well as Dave Davies' unique guitar style.


The Kinks gained popularity with hits such as "You Really Got Me," "All Day and All of the Night," and "Lola." They were part of the British Invasion along with bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Throughout their career, The Kinks experimented with different musical styles, incorporating elements of folk, country, and even music hall into their music. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, recognizing their contribution to the development of rock music.
