They were part of the British Invasion of the US in the 1960s and are known for their hits such as "You Really Got Me," "All Day and All of the Night," and "Lola."

The Kinks were considered one of the most influential and important rock bands of the 1960s, known for their raw, energetic sound and clever, often satirical lyrics. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and are credited with helping to shape the development of rock music, particularly in the punk and Britpop movements that followed.
