Artist Bio:
The Kinks were a British rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of brothers Ray and Dave Davies, along with Pete Quaife and Mick Avory. They are considered one of the most influential and iconic rock bands of the 1960s British Invasion era. The Kinks are known for their distinctive sound, characterized by Ray Davies' songwriting, which often reflected the British working-class experience and social issues of the time.


The Kinks achieved commercial success with hits such as "You Really Got Me," "All Day and All of the Night," and "Lola." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and are regarded as one of the most important and innovative rock bands of their time. Despite internal tensions within the band, The Kinks left a lasting impact on the music industry and continue to be celebrated for their unique sound and contribution to the development of rock music.
