Artist Bio:
The Knickerbockers were an American rock band formed in Bergenfield, New Jersey in 1964. The band's lineup consisted of brothers Beau Charles (vocals, guitar) and John Charles (bass), as well as Buddy Randell (vocals, guitar) and Jimmy Walker (drums). The Knickerbockers are best known for their 1965 hit single "Lies," which reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song featured a sound heavily influenced by The Beatles, leading many listeners to mistake it for a Beatles track.

Despite their success with "Lies," The Knickerbockers struggled to replicate that level of commercial success with their subsequent releases. The band continued to release music throughout the 1960s but eventually disbanded in 1970. Despite their relatively short-lived career, The Knickerbockers are remembered as an influential band in the 1960s rock music scene, particularly for their Beatles-esque sound on "Lies."
