The Leaves were an American garage rock band formed in California in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of Jim Pons, Bill Rinehart, Robert Lee Reiner, John Beck, and Tom Ray. They are best known for their hit single "Hey Joe," which was released in 1966 and became a popular song in the garage rock genre.


The Leaves were part of the emerging Los Angeles music scene in the mid-1960s and gained a following for their energetic live performances. They released a self-titled album in 1966, which featured "Hey Joe" as the lead single. The band disbanded in 1967, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of garage rock and 1960s music.
