The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts. The group was initially started as a solo project by lead singer and guitarist Evan Dando, who is the only constant member throughout the band's various line-up changes. The band is known for their melodic and jangly guitar-driven sound, with influences ranging from punk rock to country and folk music.

The Lemonheads gained popularity in the 1990s with their breakthrough album "It's a Shame About Ray" in 1992, which featured the hit single "Mrs. Robinson" and received critical acclaim. The band's music often features introspective and witty lyrics, and they have released a total of 10 studio albums to date.
