The Lennon Sisters are a singing group consisting of four siblings: Dianne, Peggy, Kathy, and Janet Lennon. They gained fame in the 1950s for their harmonious vocals and wholesome image. The sisters first rose to prominence after appearing on "The Lawrence Welk Show" in the late 1950s and continued to perform regularly on the program for over a decade.
Known for their close harmonies and sweet melodies, The Lennon Sisters released several albums and singles throughout their career. They also had their own television variety show, "Jimmy Durante Presents the Lennon Sisters Hour," which aired in the 1969-1970 season. Despite changes in the entertainment industry over the years, the sisters have continued to perform and are considered one of the most enduring acts in American popular music.
