Artist Bio:
The Magic Lanterns were a British pop group that was active in the 1960s and 1970s. The band was formed in Warrington, England, and originally consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Jimmy Bilsbury, guitarist Peter Ramsden, bassist Rod Edwards, keyboardist Alan Carvell, and drummer Nick Topham. They gained popularity with their cover of the song "Shame, Shame" by The Magic Lanterns, which reached the top 10 in the UK Singles Chart in 1968.

The Magic Lanterns released a few more singles and albums throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, but they never achieved the same level of success as their initial hit. The band eventually disbanded in the mid-1970s. Despite their relatively short-lived career, The Magic Lanterns left a mark on the music scene of their time with their catchy pop sound.
