The Magistrates were a British band formed in 2007 in London. The group consisted of members Andrew Levitas, Brendan Grieve, Ian George, Paul Usher, and Thom Kirkpatrick. They gained popularity in the late 2000s for their soulful pop sound and energetic live performances. The Magistrates released a self-titled EP in 2008, featuring songs like "Heartbreak" and "Make This Work." Their music was noted for its catchy melodies, upbeat rhythms, and soulful vocals.
Despite generating buzz in the music industry and performing at renowned festivals such as Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds, The Magistrates disbanded in 2011. The members went on to pursue other musical endeavors and projects. Although their time together was relatively short-lived, The Magistrates left a lasting impact on fans of indie pop and soul music.
