Artist Bio:
The McCoys were a rock band formed in Union City, Indiana in 1962. The group consisted of members Rick Zehringer (later known as Rick Derringer), Randy Zehringer, Randy Jo Hobbs, and Ronnie Brandon. They are best known for their hit single "Hang On Sloopy," which reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1965. The song has since become a classic rock anthem and is considered one of the greatest rock and roll songs of all time.

The McCoys continued to release music throughout the 1960s, with other notable songs including "Fever" and "Come On Let's Go." After some lineup changes, the band eventually disbanded in the early 1970s. Despite their relatively short-lived career, The McCoys left a lasting impact on the rock music scene of the 1960s with their energetic performances and catchy songs.
