Artist Bio:
The McCoys were a rock group formed in Union City, Indiana in 1962. The band's original lineup consisted of four members: Rick Zehringer (later known as Rick Derringer), Randy Zehringer, Randy Hobbs, and Ronnie Brandon. They gained nationwide recognition with their hit single "Hang on Sloopy" in 1965, which reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a classic rock anthem and is considered one of the greatest garage rock songs of all time.

Following the success of "Hang on Sloopy," The McCoys released several more singles, including "Fever" and "Come On Let's Go," but they were unable to replicate the same level of success. The band eventually disbanded in 1969, with Rick Derringer going on to have a successful solo career in music. Despite their relatively short-lived time in the spotlight, The McCoys made a significant impact on the rock music scene of the 1960s.
