Artist Bio:
The Mills Brothers were a popular American jazz and pop vocal group formed in 1928 in Piqua, Ohio. The group originally consisted of four brothers: John Jr., Herbert, Harry, and Donald Mills. They were known for their close harmonies and innovative vocal techniques, such as imitating musical instruments with their voices. The Mills Brothers achieved great success in the 1930s and 1940s with hits like "Tiger Rag," "Paper Doll," and "Glow Worm."

The Mills Brothers were one of the first African American artists to have a significant impact on the mainstream music industry, breaking racial barriers and gaining a wide audience. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998 for their contributions to music. The Mills Brothers continued to perform and record music until the death of the last surviving brother, Herbert, in 1989.
