The Miracles were an American rhythm and blues vocal group formed in 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. They were one of the first successful acts for Berry Gordy's Motown Records and were a major influence in the development of the Motown sound. The group's original lineup consisted of Smokey Robinson, Ronald White, Pete Moore, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Robinson.
The Miracles achieved major success in the 1960s with hits such as "Shop Around," "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," and "The Tracks of My Tears." They are also known for their smooth harmonies and Robinson's distinctive falsetto voice. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, recognizing their impact on the music industry and their contributions to the Motown sound.
