Artist Bio

Artist Bio:
The Miracles were an American rhythm and blues vocal group that achieved great success in the 1960s. Formed in 1955 in Detroit, Michigan, the group originally consisted of members Smokey Robinson, Ronald White, Pete Moore, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Robinson. They were one of the first acts signed to Berry Gordy's Motown Records and became known for their smooth harmonies and soulful sound.

The Miracles are best known for their hit songs such as "Shop Around," "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," and "The Tracks of My Tears." They were also the first Motown act to score a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with "The Tears of a Clown" in 1970. The Miracles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, honoring their contributions to the music industry and their influence on the development of Motown Records.
