The group originally consisted of founding members Smokey Robinson, Ronald White, Pete Moore, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Rogers. They were one of the first successful acts for Berry Gordy's Motown Records and were known for their smooth harmonies and soulful sound.
The Miracles are best known for their hits such as "Shop Around," "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," and "Tears of a Clown." They played a significant role in the rise of Motown as a popular music label in the 1960s. The Miracles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, recognizing their influence and impact on the music industry.
