The group originally consisted of members Smokey Robinson, Ronnie White, Warren "Pete" Moore, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Robinson. The Miracles were one of the first successful acts for Berry Gordy's Motown Records and had numerous hit songs throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Smokey Robinson was the lead singer and primary songwriter for the group, helping to establish their signature sound. The Miracles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 for their significant contributions to the music industry.
