The Miracles were an American rhythm and blues vocal group that was formed in 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. The group achieved fame as the first successful act for Berry Gordy's Motown Record Corporation. The original members of The Miracles were Smokey Robinson, Warren "Pete" Moore, Ronnie White, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Rogers.
The Miracles are known for their smooth harmonies and hits such as "Shop Around," "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," and "The Tracks of My Tears." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and are considered one of the most influential groups in the history of popular music. Smokey Robinson, the lead singer of The Miracles, also had a successful solo career and is known as a prolific songwriter and record producer.
