The Miracles were an American rhythm and blues vocal group that was formed in 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. They were one of the first successful acts for Berry Gordy's Motown Records, and their early hits helped establish the label's reputation. The group's original lineup consisted of Smokey Robinson, Warren "Pete" Moore, Ronnie White, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Robinson.
The Miracles are best known for their hits such as "Shop Around," "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," and "The Tracks of My Tears." They were known for their smooth harmonies and soulful performances. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, recognizing their significant contributions to the development of soul and R&B music.
