The Miracles were an American rhythm and blues vocal group that was formed in 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. The group originally consisted of founding members Smokey Robinson, Ronald White, Pete Moore, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Rogers. They were one of the first acts signed to Berry Gordy's Motown Records and became one of the label's most successful and influential groups.
The Miracles are best known for their hits such as "Shop Around," "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," and "The Tracks of My Tears." They were known for their smooth harmonies, soulful vocals, and Robinson's distinctive falsetto voice. The Miracles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, recognizing their contributions to the development of the Motown sound and their impact on popular music.
