Artist Bio:
The Miracles were an American rhythm and blues vocal group that was one of the first successful acts for Berry Gordy's Motown Records. Formed in 1955, the original members included Smokey Robinson, Warren "Pete" Moore, Ronnie White, Bobby Rogers, and Claudette Rogers. The group is known for hits such as "Shop Around," "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," and "Tears of a Clown," with Smokey Robinson serving as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter.
The Miracles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, honoring their contributions to the genre. They were also one of the first Motown acts to achieve mainstream success, paving the way for other artists on the label. The Miracles' smooth vocal harmonies and Robinson's distinctive falsetto voice helped define the "Motown Sound" and influenced generations of artists to come.
