Artist Bio:
The Mob was a British anarcho-punk band formed in Yeovil, Somerset in 1978. The band was part of the punk scene in the UK during the early 1980s and was known for their political lyrics and DIY approach to music. The Mob released their debut single, "Crying Again" in 1980 followed by their first album "Let the Tribe Increase" in 1983, both of which were well-received by critics and fans.
The Mob was actively involved in the anarcho-punk movement and often performed at benefits and protests. They were also associated with the influential Crass Records label, which released much of their music. The band disbanded in 1983 but reunited for a brief period in the late 2000s to early 2010s, playing a number of shows and releasing new music. The Mob's music continues to be celebrated within the punk community for its raw energy and socially conscious lyrics.
