Artist Bio:
The Monkees were an American rock and pop band formed in 1966. The group consisted of members Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork. They were created for a television show of the same name that aired from 1966 to 1968. The Monkees quickly became a sensation with their music and television show, which featured a mix of comedy, musical performances, and adventures.

The band released a number of hit songs, including "Last Train to Clarksville," "I'm a Believer," and "Daydream Believer." Despite facing initial criticism for being a manufactured band, The Monkees went on to prove themselves as talented musicians, songwriters, and performers. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and continued to tour and release music throughout the years, leaving a lasting impact on the music industry.
