Artist Bio:
The Monkees were an American rock and pop band formed in Los Angeles in 1966. The group was created for a television show of the same name, which aired from 1966 to 1968. The members of the band were Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork. Despite being initially put together for the TV show, the band quickly gained popularity for their catchy music and energetic performances.

The Monkees released a number of hit songs, including "I'm a Believer," "Daydream Believer," and "Last Train to Clarksville." They also starred in a feature film, "Head," in 1968. The band's popularity waned in the early 1970s, but they experienced a resurgence in the 1980s and continued to tour and release new music. The Monkees were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
