Artist Bio:
The Monroes were a Norwegian pop band formed in 1983 by the duo Lasse Hafreager and Lage Fosheim. The band gained international recognition with their hit single "What Do All the People Know," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States in 1982. The song was included in their debut album "Face Another Day," which was released the same year. The Monroes were known for their catchy pop melodies and energetic live performances.
After the success of their debut album, The Monroes released a follow-up album titled "Long Way Home" in 1985. However, the band struggled to replicate the success of their initial hit and eventually disbanded in 1986. Despite their short-lived career, The Monroes left a lasting impact on the Norwegian pop music scene and are remembered as one of the pioneering bands of the era.
