The Moody Blues were a British rock band formed in Birmingham, England in 1964. The band originally consisted of guitarist/vocalist Denny Laine, drummer Graeme Edge, bassist Clint Warwick, and keyboardist Mike Pinder. They are best known for their progressive and psychedelic rock sound, with albums like "Days of Future Passed" and "In Search of the Lost Chord" being considered classics of the genre.


The Moody Blues achieved commercial success with hit singles such as "Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon," and their music often featured orchestral arrangements and philosophical lyrics. The band went through several lineup changes over the years, with the core members including Justin Hayward, John Lodge, and Edge. The Moody Blues were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 and have sold over 70 million albums worldwide.
