The Moody Blues are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of keyboardist Mike Pinder, multi-instrumentalist Ray Thomas, guitarist Denny Laine, drummer Graeme Edge, and bassist Clint Warwick. They are known for their fusion of rock with classical music and symphonic elements, as well as their progressive and psychedelic rock sound.
The Moody Blues achieved success in the late 1960s and early 1970s with their concept albums such as "Days of Future Passed" and hit singles like "Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon." They have sold over 70 million albums worldwide and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band continued to tour and record new music until they officially retired in 2018.
