The Moody Blues are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of keyboardist Mike Pinder, multi-instrumentalist Ray Thomas, guitarist Denny Laine, drummer Graeme Edge, and bassist Clint Warwick. However, their most successful lineup included Justin Hayward, John Lodge, and Edge.
The Moody Blues are known for their fusion of rock with classical and symphonic elements, as well as their complex musical arrangements and philosophical lyrics. Their iconic album, "Days of Future Passed," released in 1967, is considered a pioneering work in the progressive rock genre. The band achieved commercial success with hit songs like "Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon." The Moody Blues have sold over 70 million albums worldwide and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
