The Moody Blues are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1964. The band's original lineup included lead vocalist and guitarist Justin Hayward, bassist and vocalist John Lodge, keyboardist Mike Pinder, flautist and vocalist Ray Thomas, and drummer Graeme Edge. The Moody Blues are known for their fusion of rock with classical music, creating a unique and distinctive sound that became a hallmark of their music.


The band achieved commercial success with their concept albums, most notably "Days of Future Passed" released in 1967. The album featured the iconic song "Nights in White Satin," which became one of their biggest hits. The Moody Blues have sold over 70 million albums worldwide and are regarded as pioneers of progressive rock music. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018, recognizing their influence and contribution to the music industry.
